Children may be identified with special educational needs if they have an additional need that calls for special educational provision to be made for them. School will hold an initial conversation with parents concerning their child’s developing needs and begin a referral process as appropriate. A Care and Support plan will be created, with the input of parents and children. Each child will have an agreed Target sheet and their targets will be reviewed each term.


The outcome of the review is to inform future action following a Do, Review, Assess, Plan cycle.


School works in partnership with a range of services and will allow assessments to be undertaken during school time.
